Karen Black Writes Fiction

Karen Black lives in the eastern United States, with her husband and three little aliens disguised as cats. One of the small creatures claims to be ET's second cousin, though that has yet to be confirmed.

Karens stories keep you on the edge of your seat as the plots twist and turn. Her latest book sees he combining her background in criminal justice with her love of Horse Racing.

The author has also published a collection of ten short stories, "Long Stories Short," where the reader can expect the unexpected, often with a touch of paranormal, and since the aliens requested it, most stories include a cat.

A thoroughbred trainer's dream is about to become a reality, but could cost his marriage, or even his life. His wife's talented colt has the ability to compete in the richest races in the country, but becomes the catalyst for turmoil among a group of horsemen whose livelihoods depend on racing.

Following the murder of a well-known jockey, a homicide detective discovers nothing is as it seems. Suspicion and paranoia become contagious, setting the entire community on edge. When past circumstances dictate present actions, lies replace loyalty, relationships begin to crumble, and chaos results.

Through it all, the races continue.
